Limited Company Formation for UK Entrepreneurs Ready to Incorporate
Forming a limited company is the first step toward protecting your personal assets and trading with credibility. ABM Chartered Accountants registers your company with Companies House, sets up your HMRC registrations, and makes sure everything is compliant from day one.
Your Limited Company Formed and Set Up Properly
A private limited company gives you limited liability, tax efficiency, and the credibility that clients and suppliers expect. But forming one correctly involves more than just filing a name with Companies House. ABM Chartered Accountants handles the full formation process, from name availability and articles of association through to HMRC registrations and your first compliance obligations.
Our ICAEW and ACCA qualified accountants register your company digitally with Companies House, set up your directors and shareholders, complete the mandatory identity verification, register you for corporation tax, PAYE, and VAT where needed, and establish the accounting and filing schedule that keeps you compliant going forward.

With Companies House now requiring mandatory identity verification for all directors and persons with significant control, and fees increasing to 100 pounds for digital incorporation from February 2026, having a chartered accountant manage the process ensures nothing is missed and every new requirement is handled correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to the company formation questions we hear most often. Contact our team for tailored guidance.
What do I need to form a limited company?
You need at least one director aged 16 or over, at least one shareholder, a company name that is available at Companies House, a registered office address in the UK, and articles of association. ABM Chartered Accountants handles all of this for you.
How much does it cost to form a company in 2026?
The Companies House digital incorporation fee is 100 pounds from February 2026, up from 50 pounds. Same-day digital formation costs 156 pounds. ABM Chartered Accountants includes the Companies House fee in our formation packages and handles the entire process so you do not need to file anything yourself.
How long does company formation take?
Digital formation with Companies House is usually completed within 24 hours. Same-day incorporation is available for an additional fee. ABM Chartered Accountants prepares everything in advance so there are no delays when the application is submitted. You receive your certificate of incorporation as soon as it is issued.
What is identity verification for directors?
From November 2025, all new directors and persons with significant control must verify their identity with Companies House before or at the time of appointment. Existing directors have until November 2026 to comply. ABM Chartered Accountants guides you through the verification process as part of the formation.
Do you register my company with HMRC?
Yes. After incorporation, we register your company for corporation tax with HMRC. If you need employees, we also register for PAYE. If your turnover will exceed the VAT threshold, we register for VAT. ABM Chartered Accountants handles all HMRC registrations as part of the service.
What happens after my company is formed?
After formation, you need to set up a business bank account, begin keeping accounting records, and prepare for your first confirmation statement and accounts filing deadlines. ABM Chartered Accountants sets up your compliance calendar and can provide ongoing bookkeeping and accounting support.
